SUPER-Q Weekend!

A HUGE conrgats to all the skiers, parents, and volunteers for a GREAT weekend at the Soldier Hollow Super Q. It was two very full action packed days. We had many Team Soho personal bests and great racing across the board. Here are some higlights:

Friday's Freestyle Sprint event: Fischer Heimburger blazed through the 1.3km course to finish 13th in the U16 men’s category.  In the U20 category, Marc Jackson and Aren Burkemo both had strong performances finishing 16^th and 20^th.

Saturday’s classic distance races started off with Team Soldier Hollow’s Mason Heimburger taking the second step on the podium in the U12 boy’s race.  In the U16 race, Fischer Heimburger (Mason’s brother) notched a top 10, finishing 8^th. Aren Burkemo also skied strong finishing 9^th in the Men’s 18-20 age category.

Other Team Soldier Hollow racers include, Jeremy Willey, Evan Tayler, Lauren Jackson, Bronwyn Tayler, Sierra Enos, Ingrid Norton, Isaac Sullivan, Drew Sullivan, Sophia Burkemo, Sara Livingstone, Josh Livingstone, Christian Haight, Dephina Brady, Xander Burkemo, Felix Firth, Joseph Jackson, Morgan Mischo, Reid Bohanon, Seale Mosle and Jacob Livingstone.

Friday, Feb 1 - SuperQ - Skate Sprint at Soldier Hollow

          ***Open to ages 6 to 19 from all over the Western USA. Aprox 600 racers***

                   There are entry fees for this event. To register email morgan.smyth@soldierhollow.com before 6pm on Saturday Jan 26!

Saturday, Feb 2 - SuperQ - Classic Distance at Soldier Hollow

Bozeman JNQ Weeekend

The Comp Team spent the weekend in Bozeman, MT competing in qualifiers for Junior National Team. Fischer Heimburger led the team with a 3d place in both the U16 men's classic sprint and skate race! Marc Jackson and Aren Burkemo also brought home some strong results with an 11^th and 12^th place in the U20 skate race.

On the women’s side Sierra Enos and Bronwyn Tayler competed in the U16 women’s category finishing 14^th and 15^th in the classic sprint and then trading places to finish 15th and 14th in the skate race. 

Other Team Soldier Hollow racers include, Evan Tayler, Jeremy Willey, Tyler Wharton, Lauren Jackson.

This was the first two races in the six race series. The action continues at Soldier Hollow on February 1st! Stay tuned for more information on that event...
